4 LCD Screens for Medical Devices

Nowadays, many devices in the medical industry will use lcd screen, such as medical monitor, hospital self-help inquiry machine, hospital calling machine and so on. For medical monitors alone, the main display methods are as follows:

A. Digital tube (LED display): can only display digital results, can not display waveform information, simple function, has been used in the early single-parameter monitor.

B. CRT display: this is a very common display. Its advantages are high resolution, low price, the disadvantage is large volume, the whole machine is not easy to miniaturize, and there is high-pressure radiation, easy to heat.

C. LCD display screen: liquid crystal display screen. It has the advantages of small size, low power consumption, no radiation and no heating. In the mid-1990s, the advent of color TFT technology has overcome the shortcomings of low brightness and small viewing angle of monochromatic LCD, and because the color display is pleasing to the eye, the image is intuitive. Therefore, it has been widely used quickly. At present, LCD display screen is used in the mainstream monitors at home and abroad.

D. EL display screen: before the emergence of TFT display, EL display screen was once used in high-grade monitor, it not only has the advantages of LCD, but also has the advantages of high brightness and large viewing angle, but the disadvantage is that the cost is very high. Therefore, with the development of TFT display screen, the application of EL display screen in the field of monitoring is gradually replaced by TFT display screen.
