What are the limitations of LCDs?

The liquid crystal cell LCD screen prone to defects. For the 1024x768 screen, each pixel is made up of three units, responsible for red, green, and blue displays - so a total of about 2 million 400 thousand units (1024x768x3=2359296) are required. It is difficult to ensure that all these units are intact. Most likely, which has been part of a short circuit ("dark"), or open ("bright spot"). Some customers may think that such a high price should buy a perfect LCD display - and unfortunately it's not a reality, and can pick up the most free - time screen.

The LCD display contains some things that have not been used in CRT technology. Because the liquid crystal itself does not shine, it controls the backlight by modulating the arrangement of liquid crystals, so its color expressive force is different from CRT display. For example, some very precise patterns (such as jitter processed images) may appear ugly ripples or interference patterns on the LCD screen. There is also a perspective or "observation angle" problem. The reason for the existence of LCD is the light transmission mechanism, which regulates the light passing through the screen. And CRT is a light emission system. For CRT, the special material behind the screen (phosphor) can actively emit light. In LCD, although the light can penetrate the correct pixels, the tilted light also penetrates adjacent pixels, so the color is seriously distorted when viewed from outside the normal angle of view.
