The next generation of new TV comes: screen quality instead of LCD/OLED
Self-luminous, unburned, and ultra-high-resolution MiroLEDs are considered the future of displays, with Samsung releasing a 146-inch "The Wall" Flagship MicroLED TV on CES earlier this year.
LG is reported to be bringing the world's largest microLED TV, the first of its kind, to 175 inches, to the IFA, which opens at the end of this month.
At the same time, LG's TV will be thinner than Samsung's 80mm.
The LG spokesman did not confirm the rumor, but said LG was indeed developing and researching microLED technology.
At present, LG TV mainly uses LCD and OLED panels, but OLED panels are refused by Samsung colleagues for such large-scale and long-time power-on equipment, because the burning screen problem is always uncontrollable.
In July, Samsung also secretly unveiled a 73-inch MiroLED TV at an internal conference, which could appear on the IFA. In addition, Samsung confirmed that a more high-end MicroLED TV will be released next year, and its thickness will be reduced to 30mm.
