AU Optronics said recently that it will launch the world's highest resolution full-color TFT-driven micro-LED display technology at the Touch Taiwan exhibition in 2018.
One of the panel manufacturer said it will also display a range of products, including direct-bonded laminated UHD vehicle cockpit displays that will incorporate dashboards, CID and front seat displays, and 11.6 to 15.6 inch high-definition, high-brightness, wide color gamut and high-contrast LTPS touch screens for on-board entertainment systems (IFE).
Next generation Micro LED Technology
AU Optronics said it was the first company in the world to successfully develop the highest resolution full color TFT-driven micro LED display technology. AU Optoelectronics will demonstrate 12.1-inch Micro LED display technology, with 169 PPI pixel densities and 1920 * 720 resolution achieved through a Micro LED smaller than 30 microns. Each pixel can be independently illuminate to achieve the best high dynamic range and low power consumption.
