What's the difference between industrial LCD screens and ordinary LCD screens? LCD screen has low power consumption, so it is popular with engineers and suitable for electronic equipment using batteries. The appearance of industrial LCD screen is very close to that of ordinary LCD screen. Many users will think that it is only the case that has been changed. Why does the price difference vary greatly? Then what is the difference between industrial LCD screen and ordinary LCD screen? We can distinguish them from each other by comparing the following aspects.
 

Distinction 1: Brightness

Because industrial LCD screens generally appear in open space and have good lighting, the brightness of home TV and civilian screens is difficult to meet the demand, so high brightness is also a major feature of industrial LCD screens, and the cost is difficult to estimate.


Difference 2: Power consumption


Household or personal products will pay more attention to power consumption and promote environmental protection and energy conservation. In this regard, industrial displays do not intentionally require lower power consumption, only stability; additional heat dissipation system, high-brightness backlight and other design, will greatly improve power consumption. Of course, many industrial LCD screens for special needs, such as 3D demonstration, even naked-eye 3D, cost much more than the civil products we can access.
 

Difference 3: Display area, very different


Whether it is a display or a TV set, the display area and display proportion have certain industry standards. For example, LCD display sizes are 32 inches, 37 inches, 40 inches, 42 inches, 46 inches and so on; while the display ratio is controlled at 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10, and the special ratio will not appear generally. In this regard, in order to meet the needs of propaganda and demonstration in special venues, industrial LCD screens will have non-standard display proportions of products, strips, or squares. Industrial LCD screens designed for special needs are naturally more expensive than those produced by general assembly lines.
 

Differentiation 4: Adding equipment for special applications


Industrial LCD screen, in order to achieve the purpose of demonstration, demonstration effect, there will be a lot of additional hardware support, including advertising machines and other special equipment. The splicing technology increases the cost. In order to achieve large display area and higher resolution, many industrial LCD screens will adopt splicing technology. There will be corresponding hardware support and software support for splicing applications, which will increase a lot of costs accordingly.

Moreover, display devices for splicing, such as LCD screens, have very narrow edges, usually less than 1 cm, to reduce the barrier of edges, while high-end products have a minimum of 4 mm, and their prices remain high.

 

Difference Five: Stability


Industrial LCD screen, dust-proof performance is more stable. Ordinary LCD screen, only used in small space, such as family, living room, relatively clean use environment, temperature and humidity control is more reasonable. Industrial LCD screens, however, often appear in industrial places where the working environment is harsh, with more dust and unstable temperature and humidity.

In summary, the dust-proof performance of industrial LCD screen is better. Industrial LCD screens are suitable for long-term uninterrupted use, which are quite different from personal and family use habits. Industrial LCD screens often run 24 hours uninterruptedly. In terms of the type and material of display panel, they are basically the same, but long-term work and accumulated heat are very easy to aging electronic products. Therefore, the heat dissipation performance of industrial LCD screens is better than that of ordinary LCD screens. Additional heat sinks and cooling fans need special requirements. Relevant industries have certain standards and regulations.
