How to Select the Appropriate LCD Display According to the Resolution?

What is the resolution of lcd display? Display resolution (screen resolution) is the precision of the screen image, which refers to the number of pixels that the display can display. Because the points, lines and faces on the screen are made up of pixels, the more pixels the display can display, the more fine the picture will be, and the more information can be displayed in the same screen area, so resolution is a very important performance indicator.

We can think of the whole image as a large chessboard, and the resolution is represented by the number of all longitude and weft intersections. When the lcd display resolution is fixed, the smaller the display screen is, the clearer the image is. On the contrary, when the size of the display screen is fixed, the higher the display resolution is, the clearer the image is.

The screen resolution determines how much information is displayed on the computer screen, measured in horizontal and vertical pixels. When the lcd display resolution is low (for example, 640 x 480), fewer pixels are displayed on the lcd screen, but the size is larger. When the screen resolution is high (for example, 1600 x 1200), more pixels are displayed on the screen, but the size is smaller. The display resolution is the number of pixels displayed on the screen. The resolution of 160 × 128 means that the number of pixels in the horizontal direction is 160 and the number of pixels in the vertical direction is 128. When the screen size is the same, the higher the resolution, the more fine and delicate the display effect will be.

4:3 is the most common screen ratio, an ancient standard handed down from the age of television. Before the rise of modern wide screens, most of the lcd display screen resolutions were based on this ratio. 16:9 is mainly the proportion of HD TV in use. This is the ratio of 720p and 1080p, which is a screen format suitable for video viewing and office operations (accommodating two documents side by side) but relatively poor support for games (gradually getting more game support).
