At present, most of the common large screen display devices on the market use traditional splicing technology, such as LCD splicing screen, small spacing LED splicing screen and other display devices. Users are based on their actual display needs for splicing combination suitable, the splicing method is relatively simple. Coupled with the characteristics of LCD screen, it leads to its application in many industries.

The display devices using edge fusion technology are mostly used in cinemas and other places where display requirements are more stringent, because in similar places, people have greater requirements for the brightness, resolution, color and screen size of display devices. Edge fusion technology has obvious advantages in this aspect. Although many display devices using traditional splicing technology have obvious advantages in these aspects (such as LCD splicing screen, LED display screen, DLP splicing screen, etc.), there are still some differences between them. The difference between edge fusion system and traditional splicing system is summarized in the following aspects:

First point: Display devices that use traditional splicing techniques tend to be stacked together to form a large screen, such as a 55-inch LCD splicing screen: Although each LCD splicing unit looks the same from the outside, it can be caused by the fact that it is not guaranteed to be made at the same temperature. There is an objective difference in the thermal expansion and contraction of each LCD screen. If the situation is serious, it may lead to some physical changes in the LCD mosaic large screen display system after a long period of use, resulting in its normal use. But this happens only occasionally, with less than 1/10000 chance. And the edge fusion technology is a group of projection equipment will be projected to the whole screen edge overlap, through this technology can not see the screen to splice the screen like the gap. For the time being, it is better to use DLP in the display device using this technology.

Second point: Back projection box is currently using a single DLP movement, single-chip DLP through color wheel spectroscopy in the performance of color constraints and constraints, can not restore color well: in the color screen and dynamic images are prone to rainbow phenomenon: uneven brightness, uneven color, color deviation Image delay and so on. Moreover, the single-chip DLP movement and low-power bulb used in the box are suitable for short-distance viewing because of its low brightness: generally, it is suitable for monitoring rooms with dim indoor light and small area, not suitable for large and bright conference rooms, auditoriums, halls, shopping malls and other places, while the whole screen edge fusion scheme uses high brightness 3. The three-piece DLP projector with 6000 ANSI lumen in our proposal can achieve long-distance viewing, and the three-piece DLP projector can avoid the bad effects of uneven color, uneven brightness, picture delay of single-piece DLP: it can achieve very realistic color restoration, and is very suitable for many people to use. A conference hall and a large auditorium. Even though Prudential display technology has adopted edge fusion technology in the back projection scheme at present, Prudential display technology can only provide low brightness single-chip DLP movement, single-chip resolution can only support 1024x768, still can not avoid a series of problems brought about by the low brightness single-chip DLP movement just mentioned.

The third point is that all images in the fusion system are corrected and unified by the fusion processor, so that when the image is displayed and switched on the large screen, no matter what format the image is switched: the brightness, color, brightness, uniformity of the whole screen are relatively consistent, there will be no traditional mosaic system. Frequent changes in system display quality due to signal replacement.

Fourthly, the projection display image is processed in the processor, and the chromatic aberration, brightness aberration and uniformity between different projection signals can be adjusted. To some extent, the image quality of the system is better than that of the traditional mosaic system. The edge fusion image processor not only has the function of edge fusion and multi-picture processing, but also has the function of image storage and invocation: it can display the high-resolution image stored by itself directly as the background of the large screen display system.

Although there are some differences between edge fusion and traditional stitching technology, it does not mean that traditional stitching technology is not feasible. At present, there are many kinds of display equipments using traditional splicing technology in the market, among which LCD splicing screen has a large market share, and it is also one of the most widely used large screen display equipments in many splicing display equipments. There is also the edge fusion technology and traditional mosaic technology because of its own reasons leading to its practical environment is also different, so the user in the choice of large screen display device is not busy blindly pursuing a certain device, but according to the actual use of demand and environmental needs for a comprehensive analysis. Only in this way can we buy a more practical large screen display system.
